Audio and video recording transcription

HoloTalk by Holodata turns existing audio and video recordings into text in your browser. Keep the original transcript, choose translations, add optional numbered speaker labels and generate a meeting summary.

HOLOCORE PTY LTD operates HoloTalk in Australia. The product and operator information explains its relationship with Holodata.

Choose the outputs you need

What can I download from a recording?

Download the transcript as Markdown or plain text, and timed subtitles as SRT or WebVTT. A summary is a separate output available as Markdown. Review the transcript and subtitle timing against your recording before sharing.

Can I keep the original and translated wording together?

Yes. The original transcript remains available alongside completed translations. For bilingual SRT or WebVTT, the original appears above the selected translation. Choose transcript translations explicitly; choosing a summary language does not create translated subtitles. See the bilingual download workflow.

Can I get a meeting summary as well as a transcript?

Yes. A transcript preserves the recognised wording; a summary condenses it into meeting notes. Choose summary languages separately from transcript translations. Summaries can omit details or contain errors, so check important decisions against the recording.

Check whether the workflow fits

Does HoloTalk work completely offline?

No. HoloTalk requires an internet connection. Recording audio is uploaded for processing by the service and its providers. It is not a local, offline transcription tool. Holodata’s separate enterprise deployment services do not change this website’s online requirement.

Which audio and video files can I use?

Choose a recording whose sound your browser can read; compatibility depends on its audio codec and the browser, not just the file extension. Only the sound and file name are uploaded, not video frames. The upload guide explains compatibility checks and conversion options.

Do speaker labels identify people by name?

No. Optional speaker labels distinguish numbered voices; they do not verify a person’s identity. Overlapping speech, noise and similar voices can produce mistakes. Review the labels before attributing statements to someone.

What should I check before uploading confidential audio?

Read the Privacy Policy for processing providers, overseas processing and storage/deletion information. Browser-based access does not mean audio stays on your device. Check your organisation’s requirements before choosing this workflow.

Inspect a bilingual subtitle file

This English–Chinese file is an authored illustration with example wording and timings, generated by the same exporters used for meeting downloads. It is not a customer recording and not a transcription-accuracy demonstration. SRT and WebVTT are subtitle files; they do not burn captions into video.

From recording to reviewed files

  1. Choose the spoken languages and the transcript translations you need. Decide separately whether you need numbered speaker labels and which summary languages to generate.
  2. Create an account or sign in, then follow the recording upload guide. Check the browser’s file compatibility and the displayed credit estimate before confirming processing.
  3. Wait for processing and selected translations to finish. Review names, numbers and decisions, then follow the download guide to select the format, language and bilingual option.

The upload form shows an estimate for the selected options; summaries and later requests can have separate charges. The pricing page shows the current rates and calculation conditions.

See the current signup and referral offers for available credits and eligibility. Check the amounts and conditions before registering or inviting someone.
